No, it won't. Not much water actually comes out of those things. I'm thinking about adding a second one to my 92 Johnson 6hp, after seeing that. I can't really see the telltale from my normal sitting position, and it gets tiresome craning my neck around to make sure there's water flow.
A little tee fitting in the hose, plus a new fitting on the lower cowling that points outward rather than down. Brilliant!
