Yeah, paste the link you're are using for the signature pic and I'll see if I can see what's wrong. I can't see anything in your profile other than the text shown.

Edit: Yeah I just added Havasu Falls to my sig there. Might just leave it . . . :)

I'm still tryign the [img ] [ /img] code, I'm a vb guru, used to run 3 large forums, I'm more used to have the admin panel then the userts powers! lol

The link I tried is on my server http://www.oceansbreeze.com/prince2.jpg

I'll post some pics of my boat in a sec, I'll upload 'em

Working for me . . . I see an extra space in both of your img deals . . . one after the img and one before the /img. I used the pic link icon, and it worked straight away with your link . . .

Clearly this is a big step down for me from last years boat... a 23 foot Wellcraft.... but for a single guy, and what I use this boat for (mostly pleasure cruising, and fishing) it's perfect.

yeah it works ok in message bodies, just not in the sig. I put the spaces deliberately, otherwise, it tries to use it as code... I'm gonna go try some other stuff.... weird.

Reduce those pics to max 640 x 480 and we won't have the slow load and the wide frames . . . ;) Again, I used the pic link button in the sig area.

If you have a pic link icon in your signature editor, then the usergroup for Seamen does not have enable signature images enabled.... I switched to advanced editor yesterday, and still did not have it... so problem solved. Seems only mods or higher up groups can use the images in sigs..... 'tis a sad sad day! Cheers

I have a test registered name, I'll try that. Lower than low . . .

where abouts in ontario are you from if you don't mind me asking, I've been at work since 7 and havn't done a damn thing

I'll be boating in Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake here in North Bay, Ontario. About 90kms north of Muskoka. I'll also take it to my cottage on Lake Temiskaming which is further North in New Liskeard (on the Mattawa/Ottawa waterway)

Well . . . hmmmmm . . . color me stupid! For a variety of reasons . . . QC here. Using my test login.

1) I got myself thrown out of iboats two times for 15 minutes each. Basically I forgot my test password and when you try and login five times you end up in the penalty box for 15 minutes  lol

2) You're right. I'll find out, but you cannot add a pic to a low life's sig. Not sure how low a life, but I think we have confirmed at least as low as a round tube full of Seaman . . . :D

Re: 2 questions: Turn-tite Boat plugs and fire extinguishers

PS: 3rd question, why isn't my signature photo showing up? It shows in the UserCP. Does it need to be approved by a mod?

You need to use the [sigpic] tag.

?The [sigpic] tag allows you to insert your uploaded signature picture into your signature. This tag does not work in posts and will not work if you have not uploaded a signature picture.

Example Usage (sigpic)(/sigpic)"

....except use [] brackets instead of (), which I had to do to make it show up in this post.

Re: 2 questions: Turn-tite Boat plugs and fire extinguishers

THANK YOU Lakelover!

It wouldn't let me use [ sigpic] [ /sigpic ] with my external link, but it works if I upload the picture to the site, and then use the iboats.com link to the image...

Code:
[sigpic ]http://forums .iboats.com/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=57030&dateline=1247258064[/sig pic]
1999 Princecraft 166 Pro
1998 Evinrude 70hp

(I put some deliberate spaces in above example so it would show.... hopefully this helps others!)

Thank so much, good info!

You're welcome, you'd think such a simple thing would be a little easier to figure out. It took me time on and off for 2 days to get it. Just the way it's set up, I guess.

Now, I didn't think of just inserting spaces above:rolleyes:

my buddy is military police in petawawa.... I've never ventured that far up the waterway, but it all begins (ends ends) in Lake Temiskaming... :) I know there are 2 lifts (read: vehicles & trailers) along the way, to get you around some bad areas, but it's possible to go from new liskeard to pembroke now.... I'm not sure if you can go the enture way to ottawa yet?

Thanks all...

So yeah, it turns out this switch does run interior lights. Waited till it was dark, and flipped it on, and voila, lighting along the floor!! Bonus!! How cool! And I did test the anchoring lights, and running lights, it's actually just switch 2 (down for anchor, up for running) simple...
