Took it out for the second time this past weekend and had a few question's.

1. Even when warm I would have to rev engine in 'throttle only position' sometime's to start it. It ran fine at full throttle but would die when going from slowest speed to full throttle. I would have to gradually speed up to get going.

2. I would like to replace my prop for skiing and tubing. I have a 23p on there now and would like some advice on what pitch would work best for this.

1994 Bayliner Capri 1750 3.0 liter Alpha One

Sounds like the carburator may need some attention. Possibly a good overhaul and cleaning.

Also read here Complements of Don S

A 21 pitch would probably do the job, and a 19 pitch should snatch someone right up. Just be careful because if your running at maximum recommended RPM's now with the 23 pitch your enging will over rev with a smaller prop if you run at WOT (wide open throttle).

I have a 1750 Caravelle 3.0L and a 3 blade 19p or a 4 blade 18P seems to give me 45-4600 WOT rpms with 2-3 adults and 3 kids. Pulls a tube good. I want to find a 4 blade 20p to try. A 21p with 2 adults runs good and a 23p is a little much for mine.
