2 stroke oil

Short question if I use motor cycle brand 2 stroke oil in a out board this is bad for the engine i know.

But if I used outboard oil in a motor cycle would it do damage.

Outboard engines operate at lower temps than motor cycle engines, therefore outboard oil would certainly cause you some grief in a motor cycle.

Use what the mfg suggets and then you know you are right.

I agree. You figure that outboards are cooled by cool water so there must something in the oil that compensates for that environment and that will be gone after detonation.

What I thought is that The quality of outboard engine oil was just better because the engines are smaller. :redface:

but the water thing makes sense so I just have to tell the wife there will be 2 cans of fuel in the garden shed in stead of 1. :D :D :D :D
