Would like to know which diam/pitch prop comes factory delivered with this OB, can't find number on prop anywhere body, where do I need to look further ? Want to dial a less pitch prop for OB to wot rev to 6 K as loaded, now only achieving 5.5 K rpm with current prop. Thanks in advance.

a 140 V Yamaha?

5500 rpm, is about all I ever got out of my 130 Yamaha V4. 21" Black SS Yamaha prop, or 19" Michigan Apollo SS. Loaded or empty. Even new with a 19" Black Yamaha SS, it would rev 5600rpm, but nearly throw you out of the boat on take off

Yep, it's a V 140 HP version, when researched the net about plugs, props only showed the V 130 specs. Surely added an extra 10 HP on the cowl to impress buyers LOL!! We want a less pitch prop than current delivered one as sometimes the combo is used overloaded, which lugs badly the OB at speed. With current prop is achieving scary 73 Km/H with 2 up at 5.5 K wot rpm on flat no wind water cond.

The motors don't come from Yamaha with a propeller on them. The dealer or the boat builder decides what propeller to use based on the boat it is mounted on.

A 140 Yamaha was not offered here in the USA. That is why you can't find any information here in the states about it.

If you are otherwise happy with the performance of the motor, just get the propeller model you have with two inches less pitch.

In other countries factory delivered OB's, even large ones comes wiith usually medium alum pitch props, if you want to go for a prop maximization for OB to run middle to max wot rpm range after break in period has ended it's entirely up to you.

Where precisely will stamped prop numbers be located, on prop body, under prop nut washer. If can't find that info useless ordering a wild guess 2 less pitch prop or even taking prop to a prop reapir shop to have it measured, are non existing..

My friend has one on a 17ft Campion. Runs a 19” well. He uses it for water skiing and didn’t complain. No idea what the RPMs are too end though.
