20 pole to 12 pole

Hello,
Is there any way to change my 20 pole stator to a 12 pole? All the tachs I am finding are 12 pole. The only 20 pole ones I found are either used or hideous looking.

I'm right there with ya, if you find a solution please let me know. I really don't want to change eng. just to solve this...
