200 hp johnson ocean runner leaks when trimmed

when i fully rim my motor (out of water) a film of either gas or oil pools on the water. cant see any leaks comming out of motor! any ideas? doesnt seem to effect motor! thanx for any advise!

Its normal for some fuel/oil to get in the bottom of the airbox. There is a small drain hose at the bottom that connects to the crankcase to act as a drain.<br /><br />There are a couple of different airbox styles so without knowing which Ocean Runner you have its hard to be more specific.

Capn...Are you talking about below the lower unit on the water? If so then it's most likely just some left over exhaust oil/gas leaking out when it's trimmed up. Carbed 2 strokes are dirty things so some unburned oil and/or fuel will always be in the lower unit.

thanx guys! cant see where its comming from but it appears to be below the lower unit on the water! dhadley, its a 1993 200 hp johnson ocean runner. does that help u ? i have twins on the boat but only 1 motor "leaks" thanx again!<br />will
