Does anyone know where I can get the spanner wrench for the main ram of my PTT so I can replace the seals? Maybe a part number?

My PTT works, it just leaks down over time and under power. I refuse to pay 800 bucks for a re-man unit. Has anyone ever re-sealed one? Any tips? Is it just the top main seal cap that causes it to leak down, or is there something else to look for? I'll take all the help I can get! Thanks!

Karl, If you can find a heavy duty deck plate key (two rods hinged together with pins), that might fit. You can make your own rather easy.

I used two 6" pieces of angle iron from an old bed frame. Drill holes in each end of both pieces. use bolts with nuts that just fit the holes in the PTT cap, on one end of the angle iron, and bolt the other end of the angle iron together so it hinges to adjust the fit of the spanner.
