200 tiller..alarm location

Hello...My 2001 200 Merc w/tiller alarm system seems to be nonfunctional...any of you guys know where the horn is, and how I can check it??<br />It doesn't work at all. Motor is fine....I think. (and hope)<br /><br />Thanks...<br /><br />Mark

The warning horn is usually located near the keyswitch. With the key on, you can short one of the temp sender wires (at the top of the cylinder heads) to ground and you should hear the horn. Check it out and let us know!

O.K...I tried that...nada..nothing happened. I don't think the alarm is in the switch that's on the tiller. There's not alot of room there.<br /><br />What does the horn look like anyway??<br /><br />Thanx for responding.<br /><br />Mark
