My "no oil" light came on and the buzzer went off. I used my trolling motor to get back to the dock. Found out the oil pump quit. I installed a new VRO pump from the dealer that had been previously installed on a boat. It seemed to suck oil ok but when I hooked up pre-mix tank and disconnected the oil line no warning came on. I then returned that VRO pump for a brand new one (thinking the sensor was bad) out of the box and get the same results. It seems like the pumps are working correctly(installed clear tube to watch the oil) but no warning when disconnected. I grounded out the tan VRO wiring and the "no oil" light comes on when you turn key swith to "on". Any ideas?

There are TWO oil warnings, one within the VRO wiring and another 'float switch' inside the remote oil tank.

Trace the two black wires from the oil tank back to the motor wiring, disconnect either one of the two, check your oil light, if it is now off, then order a new float switch/oil pick-up assy from your dealer.

Hey, Thanks for the feedback! I'll check the oil tank float wires.

After reading your response again I think that I may have misled you with my initial post. My "no oil" system worked just fine when my oil pump quit. After installing the new pump, I can't get the "no oil" light/buzzer to come on when I remove the oil hose.
