I've got an Optimax in the shop driving me crazy. I have to admit that I'm not up on Optimax engines but this one is odd. Runs rich. In fact raw fuel runs out exhaust when idling. Fuel needle in VST tank has been replaced and no external leaks. Fuel pressure good and so is air pressure except I get fuel with air out of the air valve. Is fuel suppose to be on the air side? Compression good along with ignition. DDT shows no faults. I'm thinking there's a problem in the fuel rail but have never had to disassemble one.
