2000 20' Alaskan - water in storage areas

I have a 2000 Lund Alaskan with 2 large stowage areas forward of a livewell in the bow. Both of these areas get water (cups to gallons) in them when it rains and when I am cleaning/power washing the boat. I use the boat from April to November/December (ice-in) for fishing and duck hunting so it gets pretty messy. Is there anything under the floor in these stowage areas that would prevent the addition of a couple small drain holes to the bilge? I've though about using a sump pump just for when hosing it down, but I'd like something easier and more permanent. You guys with these boats know the storage compartments/lids are not water tight. Anyone have any info or maybe another idea or approach to this problem?

I had a Lowe that would get water in front storage. The problem was there was spray insulation that had all the drain areas pluged under the floor. It was a new boat so the dealer had to tear it apart and clean it all out so it would drain.

Sorry for the late post but you may have drainholes already cut into the floor of each compartment BUT had been covered up with carpet or vinyl which were then supposed to have been cut through to allow the water to flow out.

So it is worth checking, just run your fingertips along the outside edges of each compartment bottom. If you feel a "soft' spot about the size of your fingertip that is it.
