2000 200hp Evinrude Ficht Ram

Motor acting kind of funny. Soon after I take off I loose power. I shut it down for a couple of minutes and it runs ok, but I cannot push the throttle over 4500rpm or else it starts to lose horsepower. Have no idea what's going on, neither does the boat shop I take it to. Any advice will surley be appreciated.

have dealer look up service bulletin re:crankposition sensor may be your problem

Could be fuel supply, At wot 1)is the primer bulb full (hard), 2)is there air getting into the gas tank thru the vent,3) could be the anti siphon valve on top of the tank, 4)gas pick up may be clogged or 5)it could be a tech problem as suggested. <br />Try checking above before going to the dealer.<br />good luck
