2000 200HP Ficht - Replace EMM and transfer settings

I have a problem with my EMM (see my other post) and would like to get a "spare". I have access to another used unit and I know that I'll need to program the settings from my unit into the new one. My question is, how do I go about doing that? I've got the diagnostic software and I see there's a set of menus under utilities to transfer data from one EMM to another. Are there any special connectors required for this (like the "boot connector" for flashing the software)?
Is the procedure really as simple as connect the host, get the settings, connect the slave, download the settings?

That part of the prg is to be used if you buy a 'formatted' new EMM from BPR. To format an 'old' EMM and reload your prg will not work.

Normally a 'distributor only' version of the prg and in US most likely CDI/BRP only, at least as original prg. Might be some 'hacked' ones around. Almost close to access levels in Windows, you have a user account only, not admin!!

Hi Bob,

Was wondering if you ever sorted this out? Like you, I have a 2000 Ficht 225 and have to replace the ECU/EMM. I also found one on ebay, from the exact same year/model, but am worried about doing a straight swap.

Would love to hear where you landed with your issue.

You cannot do a straight swap as the replacement EMM has to have the coefficients of your injectors. You can bolt it on and it will run but it may lean out also. The Ebay programs and CDI programs are look and test only programs as you cannot change any settings with them except timing. Only a dealer program or rep program can help you.
