Hi,
Motor has been running well for a while (since fixing ignition coil grounding issue) until last night. While coming off plane, I noticed a slight hesitation around 3k rpm. As I went up and down in throttle over the next few minutes, the hesitation got worse. It felt like the same issue I had earlier in the season with the ignition coil grounds dirty/corroded. I headed for home and was going about 6 mph (around 2krpm) with the motor hesitating slightly, but running. At one point the motor just shut off, like the key was turned off, no alarm, no CE, nothing. Attempted to restart and all it will do is crank. I get the 4 indicator lights on the dash when the ignition is turned on, and the motor cranks but wont fire.
My question is, could running on only a few cylinders (if one or more coils weren't firing) cause an EMM to completely fail?
