2000 75hp ficht, to buy or not to buy

I'm looking to repower my 2005 50hp 2cylinder to a 2000 75hp ficht.on my pontoon I have herd good and bad about the fichts but mostley the V6s. Are these engines ok or are they something I need to run away from?
This engine has 150lbs on all cilinders idles and runs good in all
rpms Thanks for your input.

If it were possible, it would be way too expensive to be practical.

The 75 is a detuned 90 V-4 and the V-4 had less problems than the V-6 series

wild1, I dont think he wats to make his 50 into a 75 Ficht, he wants to repower.

Ah, you are right. I think I'd look for a different motor.

The difference is the EMM mapping and the 75 alway came with the "batwing" style lower unit unless it was a 25". The 90 came both ways the small "batwing" and large "V-6 " style lower unit.
