First, thanks in advance for your response and help...greatly appreciated.
Recently bought a boat with a 2000 90HP Carb. Ocean Pro that had been rear-ended by a car. The lower unit has been replaced and has run great...in the water 50hrs. No water in the foot oil-No prior shifting problems. Last trip out, the engine wouldn't go into neutral unless I went from forward to reverse first. This has never happened before. Could this be the shift rod out of adjustment? If so, is that an expensive fix by a shop? I read many threads about this...one mentioned "adjustable trunion is slipping out of its clamp socket at the engine." Is this in the lower unit?
Thanks again.
