2000 Ficht 175

I have twin Ficht 175's with just over 500 hrs. Recently either engine would stall when powering down from running to neutral. No warning lights or bells. The engine will not turn over, but the warning lights/indicators do come on. The engine could be dead anywhere from 5 mins to 30 mins, then starts & runs with no issues. I have had engines checked out by an Evinrude dealer & they show no codes & we cannot make this problem happen running in a test tank. Fortunately, so far at least 1 engine has kept running.

Being its happening to both, I would look for a common thread. Check all battery connections both on the batteries and on the engines. Remove them, clean them and reinstall. The Ficht does everything backward from a standard engine so the negative is the controling wire. So pay special care to all grounds.
