I have a 2000 mercury 125hp saltwater 2stroke
My problem is that the engine has a hard time starting. When running it has a hard time starting when I turn it off unless I give it about 1/4 throttle. So I rebuilt the carbs and all fuel lines so I need to test the coil and I have no idea how to test this type of coil . Any help would be great

I have that same engine, it does not start very easy after hot run if all you do is give some gas before starting and it runs ok I would say leave it alone, but others may say different on the board who really know these engines

I have the same CDM's on my 240efi. Here is how the service manual says to resistance test them.
Cheers!

Thanks for that chart . I check them out and they all ran about 1067-1075 for Trigger input and coil secondary But one was about 1100 . I guess that pretty good or should think changing them out
