Hi all, new to the forum.
Have a slight concern with my 2000 Mercury 150 optimax (red decals, engine hours show 450 on the digital dash)
Ok I'll try and keep it brief! - I haven't used the boat since buying it..(Test drive went well and was assured it's all ok) So being the novice I am, I purchased it.
Now it's boating season in the UK, I've decided put it on the water.
2 questions...
#1 When the Motor is running a lot of water comes out of the lower engine mount area..there is 2 plastic cover plates around 3 inch square covering the mount fixings- (water is pumping out from this area).
Is this ok ?
(Water tell tale jet is strong)
#2 after driving up and down the river for 15 Minutes or so I parked the boat back on the mooring (motor still running) and noticed there is no water coming out of the upper exhaust port (near the tell tale on the cowling) is this ok or is it blocked ?
Hope someone can advise me here or send me a message
Many thanks
Paul
