In need of help. My 2000 2 stroke 150hp saltwater series.
All the suddenly putting out excessive smoke at idle or low
rpm . I pull the spark plug they seem more black then normal.
I check the oil pump linkage seem to be a few 3 centimeter off
the resting pin. So I adjusted hoping that was the issue but it
didn't make no different. I also check the oil tank on the motor
see if it was over flooding . Seem to be working fine. If anyone
can help me . Please let me know .

Thanks

Normally its due to the oil tank overfilling and the oil dumping into the airbox. Are you sure its oil? With the cooler damp weather they produce a lot of steam.
