I have a 2000 lowe 22 foot deck boat with ficht 150hp tach reads 4100 rpms at wot with a 14.5 x 19 prop,installed a 14.5 x 15 and get 5100 rpms at wot,I just bought this rig!!.I have went and looked at a rig just like mine and it has a 14.5 x 19 prop installed at factory he thinks? He says boat runs 43mph but not sure of rpms,I know it should run around 5500rpms,mine seems to be running good at wot but when I return to just idle speed in gear then kick it into neutral it idles a little high for about one min.then returns to idle speed.the compression is with in 10% between cylinders,new spark plugs and fuel filter,has been decarboned. Is there anything that could be done before putting it into shop? I been a wrench for 25 years iam just not an outboard tech.Thanks in advance for your help.
