Does fuel come in contact with those diaphrams? If so, I would most definately blame it on ethanol.

Old thread but yes fuel is in constant contact and yes ethanol is the culprit.

I doubt its ethanol. the 3.1L motors are rather hard on pumps and should be replaced every 3 seasons or so.
so far the pump diaphrms seem to hold up to Efuels.
everything else has issues.
