2001 115 johnson stalling at 2500 to 2800 rpm

No ryme or reason but has got more frequent under load or when motor get to hot operating temp then will cut out let it cool down and problem is gone until it get hot again. but last summer it would just cut out once for no reason and not do it at all the rest of the day it would be like some one turned the key off then on again. VRO pump and ignition switch have been replaced but dealer can not duplicate the problem. Going in again today can anyone lead me in a direction. thanks, Tim lundquist

If it is a 60 degree engine, may be power pack and sensor.

Would this be something that would be intermitant

Yes, and check the ignition coils, the coils arc to the metal cover over the power pack, on the 60 degree engine. It needs to be checked while under power at operating temps, or use JBs trick and heat the pack and sensor with a hair dryer.
