I`ve run this boat for about 50 hours since I bought. Runs great however its time to winterize.
At the back of the motor is a flush port. I removed the cap or plug where the tell tale comes out, and sitting right there is a small piece of metal about half the size of my small fingernail.
So, any thoughts on what it could be. It is soft metal in the sense I can bend it back and forth quite easily and it will stay bent and it about as soft and bendable as a thin piece of lead
I originally thought it was part of the impeller, but they are rubber based correct (I don't really know as I'm planning on changing this first thing in the spring before she hits the water)
What else in the cooling system could this be, or perhaps its simply debris I picked up? Anyway to check for more without dismantling the engine?
Lastly, would using a set of flushers on the lower unit and the cap removed, would that push any larger pieces out of the cooling system?
