2001 3 cyl 25 Johnson spark/no spark

Motor runs great for about 30 mins. Then it just dies. Let it sit and then it will start. It will die shortly after. It has no spark at first but, I let it sit for a while and it has spark. Is it the "brain box" malfunctioning? I'm kinda lost. Help me out if you can.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Joe

Yes it is electric start.
