2001 4.3 acceleration problem

I have a problem where my boat wants to stall rapid acceleration from idle for wakeboarding. I have rebuilt the Carb, new plugs, distributor cap. I did not change the fuel filter and do not treat the gas. Its been a problem since I bought the boat 2I years ago...please help its driving me nuts!

4 brl. weber #9600 ? or 4 brl. edelbrock #1409 ?...check the plugs should be AC MR43lts .045 gap sounds like your getting a lean or rich bog. plugs are a tell tale sign.

I have a repair catalog and gapped to specs. I believe its a Weber and not sure of the plugs. I didn't know if water in the fuel may cause this? Its only on rapid acceleration, once its going its fined

I just rebuilt it 2 months ago...no change. Its seems to happen more with rapid decelerating and then when I go to rapid accelerate it stumbles. (I.e wakeboarding) will water in your fuel cause this?

Check your water seporater and find out Do you mean it wants to stall on decel AS WELL as accel, or a rapid decel leads to a worse accel?

Run without flame arrestor on and watch choke/linkages/plates for proper function. Verify accel pump is pumpin.

Rapid decel seems to lead to it. I dont have a separator on it, just a fuel filter. I know the accelerator pump is working bc if im slowly moving and crank it she will pick right up. Its from a stop after a rapid decel to a fully loaded (wakeboarder being pulled up) acceleration...
