First, I'd say to say Thank You all for the help in trying to fix my stalling problems. The boat always ran fine until this year. Whenever I would run it at high throttle setting and go back to idle it would stall and not restart. No spark was present so I suspected the coil. After 2 tow jobs in from the lake, I finally got off my rear and drove the 60 miles to the boat repair shop. After 10 minutes they found the problem. The wiring harness on the Mercruiser engines is not secured very well. A little shaking on the wire and sure enough it quit. Turns out that all the clamps and screws on my boat are loose. Somebody definitely overlooked the quality aspect when it came to making sure things was tight. Suggest everybody take a screwdriver and check all the screws you can for tightness. Might just save you some time in the long run.
