Bruce,<br /><br />I do not know your experience level with boats. You state it's your first. That is ALOT of boat for a first boat. It's big, heavy and very fast.<br /><br />To answer your question directly. Celebrity is a good boat. You didn't say whether it was Merccruiser or Volvo. Both are good. Mercruiser is more common.<br /><br />In sist on a sea trial. Drive it yourself to decide on whether or not you can handle it.

If you're a first time boater may I suggest that you contact your local Power Squadron for boating lessons? http://www.usps.org/ <br />I have been a boater for 15 years or more but am taking the course just to better myself. It never hurts to know the rules of navigation. They also teach docking techniques and boat handling. <br /><br />Good Luck and Enjoy!
