You'll have to have a laptop to clear the # 57 code.

I went on ebay and brought a ficht johnson evinrude diagnostic tool & repair manual from princecraft-evinrude . he has sold about 200 of them but I can not get the ports to read. waiting to hear from seller. just wondering if anyone has brought this and how to get it to work

Try going into your comp and be sure it reads/use COM Port below 10, preferably 1.

I bought from same guy and had problems at first. You must download driver for cable to work , it may take a couple times of installing and removing it, it comes as a zip so you have to extract it. Then you have to designate a comm port on you pc, then you have to change the comm port on EV DIAGNOSTICS to match the port on your pc and then you are set , and make sure you follow his install instructions and how to register it. Its a bit of a pita and you are gonna have to know how to get into your pc to make sure all is well but after the hassle its all good.....good luck

Got my software working and is was a hard code 57 that was my problem just as I was told. Cleared the code and motor started right up.
Once again this is a great site with alot of good people an I thank everyone. Just throwing this out there when I tilt my motor up I have oil dripping out of my injectors and down on to my case? If I get no reply I will start a new thread.

no it's drips from the oil injectors. At the air intake on the front of the motor.

Check if the pressure switch is the one leaking.
