2001 Evinrude 15 HP Tiller / Fuel Pump R&R

Hey, I need to change the fuel pump on my grandfathers Evinrude 15 HP 4 stroke. The motor is an hour away and he has no tools there. Just wondering if anyone knew off hand what tools I should bring instead of emptying my entire toolbox.

I took a peek at it a few days ago, and it seemed like there wasn't much to it, but to find out exactly what tools I need would be greatly appreciated.

screw driver, wire cutter to cut zip ties, pair of pliers.

Okay, thanks. You guys hear of the fuel pumps going on these at all? The motor ran fine all spring and early summer, but recently became harder to run. Its starving for fuel all the time, and have to prime the bulb every 15 seconds to keep it going.

When the problem first started you would have to prime it almost every 2-3mins, now its barely running which makes me think the fuel pump is failing and getting weak.

Any other help/tips would be greatly appreciated.
