My engine started making a loud clicking noise; it looks like it comes from the middle section. Engine runs great, no alarms, with the exception of that noise. What could it be?<br />It is my belief that if it was a damaged gearcase it would have seized. However, I ran the engine at WOT for about five minutes and it worked OK, again with the exception of the noise. Please help.<br />One more thing, before the cliking sound appeared, the antisyphon valve had failed and the engine shut down due to lack of fuel. Could this have something to do with the noise?
