Out of the water the steering is smooth as can be both directions to full stop . in the water boat naturally wants to go to the left under power so as I keep helm to the right I can feel a lot of pressure . Seems more then just fighting the prop. AM I missing something here ?

Anything to check

Thanks
Ken

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,....... Some props are worse than others, for Sure,.....
But,.... There should be a torque tab on the drive to help counter-act the prop,.....

Which Volvo drive ya got,..??

Hello Bondo

The SX hooked up to a 135hp 4 cyl. Where would the torque tab be ??? And What does it do ...... helps counter torque :0) Just read about a Torque Tab and adjust them a Sounds like maybe my problem but where is it located or not on my O/D ?

Hi. Normally a RH prop will make the boat pull to the right. Strange that yours pulls to the left. Are you sure it’s not something else doing this ?
Anyway…if you’re sure it’s needing the tab to counter your pull to the left…you would move the tab to the left a little. But too much and it will have the opposite effect at higher speeds.

Well I had the boat in the water twice, since I bought it last year. I will recheck my left and my right LOL but glad I posted never saw the trim tab ( forest through the trees) l'll report back later in the summer , lakes still frozen now. If no improvement will also remove the dolphin tale and try that too. Thanks Ken
