2001 Johnson 115 are they good or like the earlier 175's

2001 Johnson 115 horse are the OME
ficht problems a thing of the past or do they still exist on something like this engine or were they just Evinrude ?

In my opinion, as long as it's not a ficht it's way better than a merc.

The FICHT problem is still there, not all engines were upgraded, and not all engines exhibited problems until much later in their lives. There are probably a few out there that are still running.

Since its a Johnson I will assume it is a carbed model not ficht. If it is a carbed motor it is an excellent motor. If it is ficht it is good as a paper weight for a paper drive.
