2001 jon 250 cables

Ok I got a 2001 johnson250 I replaced the shift and throttle cables. The throttle seems ok but at first it would only shift into reverse so I tightened the cable. And now it only shifts into foward . Anyone got any suggestions

Either pay the shop to set it up
or get the service manual and do it by the book.
I'd get the service book any day.

Or do a search here, I typed it up recently for one guy, too much typing to keep doing it.
