If you it makes it any easier to sleep at night, a mathmatical sample size of 16 (n) is of no statistical significance.

:D:D:D That's GREAT!!! My wife and I are both scientists, so this really got a good laugh. Are you sure we could not use non-parametric statistical evaluation though?

I spent two semesters of painfully boring biostatistics in graduate school...

Thanks Steve! I am having it detailed and a few buggers in the glass fixed (only two small spots).

If the engine, outdrive, and generator perform as stated - I will be happy!

Have they given you a top speed estimate? I'm always curious about this. I am a slimey salesman that doesn't trust slimier salesmen  Laws of physics gets those guys every time

The methodology of this study wouldn't pass muster with any evaluation, non parametric or otherwise. I trust you're not a surgeon....cut?.....don't cut?...cut?....don't cut? ( buy?...don't buy?...buy? etc.) :)
I almost bought a 2003 2700 Maxum SCR but the seller wouldn't budge on the price which was above market value. I was impressed with the layout and appointments in the boat. I ultimately wound up with a bigger boat with twin screws but I'm sure I would have been happy with the Maxum. Best of luck and post some photos when it is all cleaned up.

Nope, I never asked and they never mentioned it. I am not looking for high speeds, that's why I sold my 300 HP turbocharged Hayabusa motorcycle (did get to 194 MPH on my GPS).

The Maxum has a GPS, so I am sure I will need to investigate its speed capabilities on a smooth day, but I am really not worried about it...

No - I am a Ph.D., not an M.D. However, based on comparative salaries with some of my undergraduate colleagues that went on to medical school, I wish I had thought it through more thoroughly

I am an associate editor of a scientific journal, I can assure you that greater decisions have been made on weaker datasets ;)

Pictures will absolutely be forthcoming.

Cheers.

Some are, so we are often in a position of bursting an overly optimistic bubble here . . . You really shouldn't be with a Cruiser but it is a data point that can indicate engine health.
