2001 Mercury Optimax 150 Fuel in the intake

hi guys, I have this 2001 Optimax 150 , with good 90psi f compression, , well the problem is that ii starts , them the rmps go like wot wish eventually I have to turn off, and I found , a lot of fuel in to the intake , I guess this is what is causing the high rpms , but I can figure out from where this fuel is coming in

guys is the fuel pressure regulator, pouring too much fuel by the return line back to the intake .. I guess outboard motors are getting too complicated, years ago , there use to be meany responses , good luck
