2001 Stingray w/5.0L mercruiser

Looking at a 2001 200LX with a 5.0L Mercruiser and an Alpha 1 outdrive. I am not familiar with the mercruiser. It appears to be carburated instead of fuel injected. What are the opinions on these engine and outdrive?

Good engine and good outdrive. Excellent combination for a 20' boat. Will go for many more years if they have been properly maintained. If poor maintenance, the water is not a friendly environment. 7 years with poor maintenance can kill anything.

Are there any big performance/service differences between the fuel injected model versus the carburated?
