2001 Yamaha 150 HPDI-Hours

I am looking to purchase a 2001 Grady White CC with a Yamaha 150 HPDI engine. The engine has 388 total hours and I have received the breakdown of hours from the seller. Can anyone provide information on how long these engines typically run if well maintained? Or have any general feedback on how this model engine performs? I have heard mixed reviews. Thanks

If someone could tell you how long that motor would last they missed their calling and should be in Vegas.

That motor could last another 2 hours or another 2000 hours. It's all in how you take care of it. A freind of mine has twin 150's on his Gulfstream with a little over 1000 hours each. Still running strong.

just recently saw a 300hpdi blow at 1100 hours, but it was ran very hard. we have a boat at work with a 150hpdi with over 1000 hours on it, runs great. both of these engines were maintained fairly well.

The HPDI motors require a pretty involved FUEL and COOLING system matiance ONCE a year no matter the hours OR EVERY X hours


I would see if there are records of this as catching up can be hard

Im looking at a boat with a 2001 yamaha 150 hpdi, I dont see an hour meter is there a funtion of tha yamaha multi funtion guages to read the hours?
