2001 Yamaha 80hp 4 stroke

The motor is great but idles low and stalls on me when first start and when idle real slow to get on trailer. It runs great at full throttle but at around 2100-2500 rps it has a skip in it and only does it then, what could that be? Also what is the best RPM's to run and is it good to run throttle wide open?

most likly the carbs are getting dirty.
its common as the passages are so small.

Would anyone know off hand what spark plug goes with the motor? I looked in my manual but now really sure, I haven't taken them out to look yet.. lol
