2002 115hp mercury alarming but has no codes

I am working on a 115hp mercury that has an alarm but no codes when a tech mate computer is connected. it is alarming when the throttle is opened and closed quickly. the alarm will go away sometimes when the throttle it moved back and forth from forward to reverse. i have never seen this before. is there something stupid simple that i am missing?
the oil level is fine. the water pump is working fine. the motor runs great. timing is great. any ideas ?

If its a 4 stroke check for sticking shift switch

I did replace the shift switch and while shifting the computer was reading that that is was working properly but I will check that out thanks.

the shift switch is not sticking and still working properly
any more sensors to check that i am missing?
could the oil pressure cause the weird alarm? whats the best way to test oil pressure ?

Figured out the problem
The oil pump needs to be replaced
The oil pressure is only 5 psi at idle and increases to only 10 when reved
so the fun begins next weekend when i start to replace the oil pump and steering bracket
