My 200hp OX66 dies while running down the lake. It dies suddenly like I turned the key off. I have seen several posts that suggest fuel system problems. I have replaced the low pressure fuel pumps, replace all filters, cleaned the VSP filter, and verified I have no restrictions at fuel tank. I also have completed a full tune up. Fuel pressure is 35 psi at idle and I don't dare test pressure on lake without the cowling since it dies suddenly and water may get in the engine. The engine will run for several miles before it dies, but will immediately restart; However, it will die in shorter and shorter intervals unless I pump the new primer bulb. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

by pumping the fuel primer bulb your simply filling the VST with fuel by bypassing the lift pumps.
find your fuel restriction or air leak between the lift pumps and the liquid level in the tank.
its amazing how rapid that engine will shut down when it cannot maintain fuel pressure for whatever reason.
if the VST is low on fuel it simply dumps rail pressure and runs out of fuel.
if your engine has a check valve between the engine filter and the lower lift pump then remove it.

Thanks for the answer Rodbolt. The system holds pressure from the primer bulb to engine. The only check valve is the one by the low pressure pumps. Does it go bad often? Possibly my fuel water separator has gone bad, I will run to lake today and try a ancillary fuel tank.

yes that check valve can and does occasionally stick, remove it, unthread it dump the guts out reassemble the shell and reinstall it.
your describing a lack of fuel in the VST by being able to make it run by manually priming(filling) it.

Thanks Rodbolt problem solved. It must have been the check valve.
