2002 9.9hp 4 strk water pump ?

I have recently purchased a 2002 9.9 4 stroke serial number OT545485 that had only about 10 hours on it. I wanted to replace just the impeller, po said he never replaced it. Upon disassembly the plastic washer that sits below the impeller was missing, the one above was there yet, looked on the parts microfiche and it says the washers are not sold seperatly or no longer available. Washers did not come with the impeller i ordered either. I was wondering where to get these washers or are they not used any more? I could by the entire water pump kit for $100 but that seems like a waste since everything else still looks like new and i dont even know if the kit comes with the washers. thanks ducker
