Look behind the throttle body on the fuel rail. Should be a black cap screwed on the test fitting.

I don't think that is your problem. my 2003 305 runs at 175 as well. replace the water pump every 3 seasons always has run 175 since I owned it and when I contacted the place I bought it they said 175 is fine.

Same here..both engines usually run at 175. Even after I drop the RPMs to 3,000 (the temp stays the same). Thats why I dont think thats the reason why the computer is turning the engine off at 3500 RPMs under load.
