I prime the fuel bulb tight but when i go to start it take about 30 seconds to start. Once it started it runs for a lil bit idle and then stalls. Starts right up again but wont idle long. What do you think is the problem?
2 stroke, 4 stroke? does the bubble lose prime? can u squeeze the bubble and it stay runnin, does the choke work? are u runnin a fuel filter, if so is it clean?
it is a 2 stroke and i notice that it will losethe gas back flow back to tank I think Is it supposed to require a prime 3 hours after its been off? The choke seems to work on compression I have 125 on top 2 and 98 psi on the lower cylinder. Once it starts it smokes a bit like more flooding. I thought i flushed out the filter good but maybe it had a lil more crap in it after cleaning the carbs
if your are losing prime thats one problem maybe get a new bubble but the compression is another problem u should have no more than a 10% diff in the cylinders you may can try to do a decarb with sefoam and see if it gets that compression back up on the #3 cylinder. but other than that sounds like u may have a bad bubble if gas is flowing back to the tank. i would get a new bubble and try to decarb the engine and see what happens then, also make sure that you have no leaks in the fuel system any where and make sure all fuel lines and connections are tight so that is cannot suck air that'll make one act stupid also
Thanx for the advice! I replaced the fuel line and bulb a few minutes ago. I dont think i have a choke but an starter assy? I am getting 4 olms resistance but doesnt seem to get 12 volts to it when I turn on ignition an push key in. I did the seafoam in the tank and in the 3 venturis and reved mildly to blow out the smoke. It seems to maintain an idle to an extent but I better take it for a run for a while and see it it straitens out. Will the enrichener energize with it in the on position?
