2002 yamaha 8hp 2-stroke

I'm looking at purchasing a 2002 yamaha 8hp 2-stroke. Anything I should keep my eye out for on this model year? What price range is reasonable?

They have been extremly reliable engines where maintained properly. Check around for pricing. Many sites with engines for sale. I don't even look anymore. Sticker Shock.
My first new motor was a 100 HP Mercury and cost less than $800 including tax.

Great engines, about $700 is reasonable ......
