Motor is 2003 Suzuki DT 150. Posted this spring about water in lower port cylinder. Dealer did leak test and came back fine back in May. He ended up replacing port exhaust cover gasket saying part of the gasket was pushed in and probably caused the leakage. Boat ran better but still produced a lot of white smoke at idle and high idle i.e. above 3500 rpm. Boat performance has went slowly down hill since then. Checked plugs tonight since it was sluggish all week at the lake and found the same white-grey coating on lower port plug like there was this spring. All other plugs are clean. At WOT it seems to surge every so often kinda like that cly. is cutting in and out. I'm sure that gaskets are supposed to last more than a summer. Any ideas or suggestions to look at before I take it back to the dealer? If it's going to be any easy fix, I'd much rather fish than have my boat sitting at the dealer.

you can get water from the exhaust cover and a cylinder head gasket leaking. continued running with water in a cylinder can cause permanant damage.
is this a salt water motor ?

It's only been in fresh water. I see that there are 2 gaskets on the head. One goes in between the head where the spark plugs screw in and one to where the cylinder goes against the block. I assume the latter one is where the water jackets are sealed and that probably where the water is coming from. The exhaust cover gasket was changed this spring at the dealer under warranty. They didn't want to get any further into it with out getting the OK from Suzuki. It seemed fine till this last week when I used it about 2-3 hours a day at the cabin.

if its under warrenty take it back, if you suspect its water take it back monday.
have a clyinder leakdown test, not a compression test, performed on the suspect cylinders to confim or reject a bad head gasket.
more than 10% leakage is not a good sign and will require futher teardown'

It's supposed to still be under warranty. I guess that I'll see tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
