I bought a used 2003 Johnson 115 that never ran very well. I ended up replacing the powerhead with an OBR powerhead, and the engine now runs well.

However, I suspect that some of the vacuum/bypass hoses throughout the engine may not be connected correctly. My manual doesn’t show enough pictures, and the diagrams aren’t very clear about exactly where each hose is supposed to go.

Does anybody have a clear picture or drawing showing how all the bypass/vacuum hoses are supposed to be connected on this engine?

I also noticed that one of the check-valve elbows for one of the cylinders is bad. How are these replaced? Do they just twist/pull out? I don’t see any threads on the fitting, so I don’t want to damage anything by trying to remove it the wrong way.

Any pictures or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
