2003 Johnson 175 Rubber Mounts

I noticed two oval shaped access panels on the shaft sides of my motor. I opened them up and found badly worn and damaged rubber blocks that seam like seals.

What are these rubber mounts for?

They are 120 bucks each.....ouch.

They should be your lower mtr mounts.

What do they do? Do I need to replace them?

They stabelize the bottom part of your mtr. Can you rock the bottom end ??. If you can, post a pic.
