2003 mecruiser 5.7 mpi riser reinstall

Looking for tourge ft / pounds for riser bolts. risers are dry joint.
seloc manual says 84 ft pounds seems high to me.

Toss the Seloc manual....... I don't think any Mercruiser riser bolt is torqued to 84 ft-lbs


Another reason to use the Seloc manual for starting your wood stove......

I'll take back some of that Seloc bashing!!!


But only if you tell me you put your "cheaters" on and tell me that it actually says 84 INCH-LBS

Merc Manual #37 indicates 84 in-lbs. that would be 7 ft-lbs......


You torque those bolts to 84 FT-lbs.....and you'll either strip the threads or break them off You were right to think that seemed "high".......
